Deactivate/Activate DoTells Tag ANYTIME
As a DoTells Tag Owner, from your DoTells account, you can control decativation/activation of your DoTells tags, anytime. The deactivation and activation is literally just one click and it works in real time. As soon as you deactivate your DoTells tag, scanners are no longer able to send you messages. And as soon as you activate it back, the messages can come through.
Delete DoTells Tag
As a DoTells Tag Owner, you are also able to completely delete you DoTells tag, if you prefer. Please keep in mind that there is no way to retrieve back deleted DoTells Tags. So we recommend to be cautious when deleting a tag.
Control the number of Scans for each DoTells Tag
As a DoTells Tag Owner, from your DoTells account, you can control how many times your DoTells tag can be scanned from the SAME phone within 24 hours. For example, if you have set the limit to 3, then a scanner is able to scan your that DoTells Tag no more than 3 times within 24 hours. This limit is per scanner/device and so each scanner can scan your tag up to 3 times within 24 hours.
No pictures and
no clickable live web links or web addresses allowed in the message
We do not allow pictures and live web links/addresses in one way messages or two-way chat.
Approval to start anonymous Two-way Chat
Anonymous Two-way chat option is available when a scanner scans a DoTells Tag, using DoTells APP.
1. When such option is selected by the scanner, while sending the message to the DoTells Tag Owner, DoTells Tag Owner has to accept the Two-Way chat request, in order for Two-Way Chat become available to both the parties.
2. When Two-Way chat option is NOT selected by the scanner, while sending a message to the DoTells Tag Owner, DoTells Tag Owner has an option to request Two-Way Chat, after receiving the message. And in this case, Scanner will need to accept DoTells Tag Owner's request in order for Two-Way Chat become available to both the parties.
72-hour Two-Way Chat

The Two-Way will become unavailable after 72 hours of no activity.
Either party can END Two-Way Chat ANYTIME
After Two-Way Chat becomes available, both the parties have option to end the chat any time. Once the chat is ended by a party, no party is able to send messages though.
Identities stay completely
ANONYMOUS
We do not reveal parties identities at any point. It is completely up to the parties to reveal their identities/contact info in a one way message or during Two-Way Chat, if they like.
